ABSTRACT

Playability is an attribute that refers to the ability to stimulate individual responses or collective action in an immersive activity in an exploratory way. Playability is an important component of the enjoyment and well-being of urban dwellers, has the potential to stimulate urban vitality and is an important expression of the inclusiveness and equity of urban space. The pursuit of economic development and efficiency-oriented urban construction has led to the domination of urban space by overcrowded traffic, economy-oriented commerce and densely populated housing. Moreover, the existence of playable space has become a scarce resource and is seen as a site for the materialisation of social rights. As the haze of the COVID-19 pandemic fades and cities are again exposed to wider and more participatory use, determining how to adapt urban spaces to the playability needs of users of different ages, cultural backgrounds and social classes, and provide them with appropriate site use and experience, is becoming a hot issue of concern for building equitable and high-quality urban spaces. The study of the playability of urban spaces is highly complex, and the related research on social justice is cryptic. In order to better investigate the social equity aspects of urban playability, this paper integrates scientometric and manual methods to review the relevant research. This paper takes 2664 related papers from the Web of Science (WOS) core dataset from 1998 to 2022 as the research object and employs CiteSpace to organise the existing research results of playful urban spaces. Quantitative analysis is used to clarify the theoretical foundations, developments and research hotspots of urban spatial playability, while the manual collation and generalisation of the studies uncover the hidden issues of social justice research. Based on the proposed research method, we summarize the key three research stages related to urban spatial playability and social equity. We also discuss the development of urban spatial playability in the perspective of social justice from three aspects: micro, meso and macro. The results can help readers better understand the current status and development process of research on playful urban space. In particular, we clarify the issues related to social justice under the theme of the playability of urban spaces and provide directions for future research on building playful cities and promoting the development of urban socio-spatial equity.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To analyze relevant literature on Lianhua Qingwen preparations and clarify the research advances and hot spots in this field,so as to provide references for clinical rational application and further research. Method(s): Literature related to Lianhua Qingwen preparations in the recent 10 years was retrieved from six databases,including China National Knowledge InfrastructureCNKI,VIP,Wanfang Data, PubMed,and Web of Science,followed by management and analysis by NoteExpress and CiteSpace. Result(s): Finally,344 and 76 Chinese and English research articles were included,and the number of publications increased in recent years. The research articles were published in 162 Chinese and 48 English journals. Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd. and Guangzhou Medical University were institutions with the largest number of Chinese and English publications,respectively. LIU Minyan was the author who had published the most articles. Keywords with high frequency included clinical efficacy,Lianhua Qingwen,inflammatory factors,traditional Chinese medicine,and coronavirus disease-2019COVID-19. Nineteen clusters,including clinical efficacy,Chinese medicine,Lianhua Qingwen,COVID-19,and influenza A virus,and 47 emergent keywords,including herpes zoster,pneumonia,inflammatory factors,influenza,and gut microbiota,were generated. Conclusion(s):Cooperation and exchanges in this field are insufficient. ABSTRACT

In recent years, there have been frequent cases of impact on the stable development of supply chain economy caused by uncertain events such as COVID-19 and extreme weather events. The creation, management, and impact coping techniques of the supply chain economy now face wholly novel requirements as a result of the escalating level of global uncertainty. Although a significant literature applies uncertainty analysis and optimization modeling (UAO) to study supply chain management (SCM) under uncertainty, there is a lack of systematic literature review and research classification. Therefore, in this paper, 121 articles published in 44 international academic journals between 2015 and 2022 are extracted from the Web of Science database and reviewed using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Bibliometric analysis and CiteSpace software are used to identify current developments in the field and to summarize research characteristics and hot topics. The selected published articles are classified and analyzed by author name, year of publication, application area, country, research purposes, modeling methods, research gaps and contributions, research results, and journals to comprehensively review and evaluate the SCM in the application of UAO. We find that UAO is widely used in SCM under uncertainty, especially in the field of decision-making, where it is common practice to ly model the decision problem to obtain scientific decision results. This study hopes to provide an important and valuable reference for future research on SCM under uncertainty. ABSTRACT

Background: Since the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has spread throughout the world, many studies on innate immunity in COVID-19 have been published, and great progress has been achieved, while bibliometric analysis on hotspots and research trends in this field remains lacking. Methods: On 17 November 2022, articles and reviews on innate immunity in COVID-19 were recruited from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database after papers irrelevant to COVID-19 were further excluded. The number of annual publications and the average citations per paper were analyzed by Microsoft Excel. Bibliometric analysis and visualization of the most prolific contributors and hotspots in the field were performed by VOSviewer and CiteSpace software. Results: There were 1,280 publications that met the search strategy on innate immunity in COVID-19 and were published from 1 January 2020 to 31 October 2022. Nine hundred thirteen articles and reviews were included in the final analysis. The USA had the highest number of publications (Np) at 276 and number of citations without self-citations (Nc) at 7,085, as well as an H-index of 42, which contributed 30.23% of the total publications, followed by China (Np: 135, Nc: 4,798, and H-index: 23) with 14.79% contribution. Regarding Np for authors, Netea, Mihai G. (Np: 7) from the Netherlands was the most productive author, followed by Joosten, Leo A. B. (Np: 6) and Lu, Kuo-Cheng (Np: 6). The Udice French Research Universities had the most publications (Np: 31, Nc: 2,071, H-index: 13), with an average citation number (ACN) at 67. The journal Frontiers in Immunology possessed the most publications (Np: 89, Nc: 1,097, ACN: 12.52). "Evasion" (strength 1.76, 2021-2022), "neutralizing antibody" (strength 1.76, 2021-2022), "messenger RNA" (strength 1.76, 2021-2022), "mitochondrial DNA" (strength 1.51, 2021-2022), "respiratory infection" (strength 1.51, 2021-2022), and "toll-like receptors" (strength 1.51, 2021-2022) were the emerging keywords in this field. Conclusion: The study on innate immunity in COVID-19 is a hot topic. The USA was the most productive and influential country in this field, followed by China. The journal with the most publications was Frontiers in Immunology. "Messenger RNA," "mitochondrial DNA," and "toll-like receptors" are the current hotspots and potential targets in future research.

ABSTRACT

In 2022, COVID-19 solutions in China have entered a normal stage, and the solutions imported from ports have been transformed from emergency prevention and control measures to investigative long-term prevention and control measures. Therefore, it is necessary to study solutions for COVID-19 at border ports. In this study, 170 research papers related to the prevention and control measures of COVID-19 at ports from 2020 to September 2022 were retrieved from Wanfang database, HowNet database, Wip database, and WoS core collection. Citespace 6.1.R2 software was used to research institutions visualize and analyze researchers and keywords to explore their research hotspots and trends. After analysis, the overall volume of documents issued in the past 3 years was stable. The major contributors are scientific research teams such as the Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine Sciences (Han Hui et al.) and Beijing Customs (Sun Xiaodong et al.), with less cross-agency cooperation. The top five high-frequency keywords with cumulative frequency are as follows: COVID-19 (29 times), epidemic prevention and control (29 times), ports (28 times), health quarantine (16 times), and risk assessment (16 times). The research hotspots in the field of prevention and control measures for COVID-19 at ports are constantly changing with the progress of epidemic prevention and control. Cooperation between research institutions needs to be strengthened urgently. The research hotspots are the imported epidemic prevention and control, risk assessment, port health quarantine, and the normalized epidemic prevention and control mechanism, which is the trend of research and needs further exploration in the future.

ABSTRACT

Background: Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an autoimmune disease characterized by isolated thrombocytopenia. Recently, the pathophysiology and novel drugs of ITP have been the focus of researchers with plenty of publications emerging. Bibliometrics is the process of extracting measurable data through statistical analysis of published research studies to provide an insight into the trends and hotspots. Objective: This study aimed to provide an insight into developing trends and hotspots in the field of ITP by bibliometric analysis. Methods: By using three bibliometric mapping tools (bibliometrix R package, VOSviewer, CiteSpace), we summarized the overview information of retrieved publications, as well as the analysis of keyword co-occurrence and reference co-citation. Results: A total of 3299 publications with 78066 citations on ITP research were included in the analysis. The keyword co-occurrence network identified 4 clusters relating to the diagnosis, pathophysiology, and treatment of ITP respectively. Then the reference co-citation analysis produced 12 clusters with a well-structured and highly credible clustering model, and they can be divided into 5 trends: second-line treatment, chronic ITP, novel therapy and pathogenesis, COVID-19 vaccine. Treg cells, spleen tyrosine kinase, and mesenchymal stem cells were the latest hotspots with strong burstness. Conclusion: This bibliometric analysis provided a comprehensive insight into research hotspots and trends on ITP, which would enrich the review of the ITP research.

ABSTRACT

Saliva has emerged as a promising noninvasive biofluid for the diagnosis of oral and systemic diseases, including viral infections. During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, a growing number of studies focused on saliva-based detection of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). Taking advantage of the WoS core collection (WoSCC) and CiteSpace, we retrieved 1021 articles related to saliva-based detection of SARS-CoV-2 and conducted a comprehensive bibliometric analysis. We analyzed countries, institutions, authors, cited authors, and cited journals to summarize their contribution and influence and analyzed keywords to explore research hotspots and trends. From 2020 to 2021, research focused on viral transmission via saliva and verification of saliva as a reliable specimen, whereas from 2021 to the present, the focus of research has switched to saliva-based biosensors for SARS-CoV-2 detection. By far, saliva has been verified as a reliable specimen for SARS-CoV-2 detection, although a standardized procedure for saliva sampling and processing is needed. Studies on saliva-based detection of SARS-CoV-2 will promote the development of saliva-based diagnostics and biosensors for viral detection. Collectively, our findings could provide valuable information to help scientists perceive the basic knowledge landscapes on saliva-based detection of SARS-CoV-2, the past and current research hotspots, and future opportunities.

ABSTRACT

Despite the increasing awareness of long-term care (LTC) research after the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, little attention was given to quantitatively describe the evolution of the research field during this period. A total of 1024 articles retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database were systematically analyzed using CiteSpace visualization software. The overall characteristics analysis showed that, in the context of the pandemic, attention to LTC research increased significantly-over 800 articles were published in the past two years. The USA, Canada, Italy, and England formed the leading LTC research group, which was consistent with the conclusions of existing bibliometric studies on LTC research before the outbreak. A rigorous analysis based on a dual perspective of references and keywords was applied to reveal that, compared with previous studies, in the context of the pandemic, the focus shifted from the mental and physical health status of older adults in need of LTC to the impact of the pandemic on those of older adults in LTC facilities, from the prevention of general epidemics to the prevention and response of significant public health emergencies, from providing and paying for LTC to strategies for LTC facilities to improve the quality of LTC and well-being of their residents during the pandemic. These findings can provide help and reference for academics, civil folks, and LTC practitioners, as well as help with the sustainable development of LTC research in the context of COVID-19 pandemic.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: In recent years, with the development of computer science and medical science, virtual reality (VR) technology has become a promising tool for improving cognitive function. Research on VR-based cognitive training has garnered increasing attention. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate the application status, research hot spots, and emerging trends of VR in cognitive rehabilitation over the past 20 years. METHODS: Articles on VR-based cognitive rehabilitation from 2001 to 2021 were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection. CiteSpace software was used for the visual analysis of authors and countries or regions, and Scimago Graphica software was used for the geographic visualization of published countries or regions. Keywords were clustered using the gCLUTO software. RESULTS: A total of 1259 papers were included. In recent years, research on the application of VR in cognitive rehabilitation has been widely conducted, and the annual publication of relevant literature has shown a positive trend. The main research areas include neuroscience and neurology, psychology, computer science, and rehabilitation. The United States ranked first with 328 papers, and Italy ranked second with 140 papers. Giuseppe Riva, an Italian academic, was the most prolific author with 29 publications. The most frequently cited reference was "Using Reality to Characterize Episodic Memory Profiles in Amnestic Mild Cognitive Impairment and Alzheimer's Disease: Influence of Active and Passive Encoding." The most common keywords used by researchers include "virtual reality," "cognition," "rehabilitation," "performance," and "older adult." The largest source of research funding is from the public sector in the United States. CONCLUSIONS: The bibliometric analysis provided an overview of the application of VR in cognitive rehabilitation. VR-based cognitive rehabilitation can be integrated into multiple disciplines. We conclude that, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the development of VR-based telerehabilitation is crucial, and there are still many problems that need to be addressed, such as the lack of consensus on treatment methods and the existence of safety hazards.

ABSTRACT

Background Primary healthcare is the first line of defense for the containment of COVID-19 pandemic. Primary healthcare has been studied extensively by academic circles in various countries during the pandemic,but the focuses vary across these studies due to differences in primary healthcare systems in different countries. Objective To understand the advances,hotspots,trends and differences of primary care-related research at home and abroad during the COVID-19 epidemic,and to provide a reference for further research in this field. Methods Primary healthcare-related studies published during the COVID-19 pandemic(between January 1,2020 and June 30,2022)were searched in databases of CNKI and Web of Science Core Collection on July 5,2022,and 282 from the former database and 1 755 from the latter were included. CiteSpace was used for visualization analysis to provide a graphic visualization of co-occurrence networks of authors,keywords and keywords clusters,to perform a timeline analysis,and to detect keywords with bursts. Results The number of publications in China grew fast at the beginning of the pandemic,then the growth gradually decreased,and tended to level off at the late stage. In contrast,relevant research started later in foreign countries,but the number of relevant publications maintained high-speed growth as of the study time. The major author cooperation forms were inter-small teams cooperation and inter-individual cooperation,and no large-scale inter-team cooperation was found. The hotspots of domestic research focus on the systems,the exploration of mechanisms and management practices related to pandemic prevention and control,while international research focuses on changes in healthcare-seeking patterns and the satisfaction of patients' medical needs under the influence of the pandemic. Psychological problems related to the pandemic were concerned by both domestic and international research. Conclusion Domestic and foreign studies have similarities and different focuses. To continuous refine and diversify domestic research,it is suggested to learn international experience,pay attention to the construction of relevant research forces,improve the knowledge system in this field,and actively use information technology to improve the primary care system amid the pandemic. © 2023 Chinese General Practice. ABSTRACT

With the development of computer and information technology, mobile teaching has enjoyed pride of place among teaching mediums in the past two decades. To visually explore the mobile learning hotspots and trends present in international journals, this study adopted two science mapping tools (CiteSpace and VOSviewer) to first detect and then visualise emerging trends (i.e., hotspots) in the mobile learning literature. A total of 528 mobile learning articles published between 2003 and 2021 that appeared in 21 international educational technology journals indexed in the SSCI database were retrieved for bibliometric analysis. The results show (1) there was a remarkable increase in academic output in this field starting in 2008 that topped out in 2021;(2) co-authorship with academics from diverse countries/regions and institutions was evident;(3) three trending foci in the literature include defining mobile learning, designing learning systems, and exploring mobile learning effectiveness;and (4) the high-frequency co-cited publications focus on the effectiveness of mobile devices via different research methods. This study provides scholars with an accessible summary of the current trends in mobile learning, identifies the active researchers in this field, and reports on which outlets are most relevant for research produced on this topic. In addition, the findings have direct implications for the education and private sectors. Mobile devices are not widely adopted in classroom settings and are often considered a learning tool more suited for out-of-class assignments or practice. Therefore, it is necessary for information technology educators to invest in actively initiating the integration of mobile technology into the classroom. Those in the technology industry should aim to develop mobile devices and relevant educational applications/software that can be utilised not only within the confines of the classroom but also to bridge in-class and out-of-class learning.

ABSTRACT

Background: Oxidative stress leads to an increase in reactive oxygen in the body. During heart failure (HF), when the body's antioxidant defense system fails to remove excessive reactive oxygen species, myocardial cells will be damaged or even die. Over the past ten years, the number of research publications on oxidative stress related to HF has increased. Methods: We searched publications published in 2012-2021 and the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) recording information. Based on the VOSviewer and CiteSpace, we conducted a bibliometric analysis of the overall distribution of journals, keywords, authors, major countries, annual output, active institutions, and cocited literature. The Global Citation Score (GCS) was used to evaluate the impact and quality of highly cited papers. Results: We retrieved 5,616 articles and reviews. Over the past ten years, the number of annual publications on oxidative stress related to HF has increased. USA has published the largest number of articles and obtained the highest number of citations (NC) and H-index. The University of California and PLoS One are the most productive affiliations and journals in terms of publications on oxidative stress related to HF. The GCS of articles written by Paulus WJ in 2013 was 1,632, which was the top ranking. The most frequent keywords are "oxidative stress", "heart failure", "inflammation", "dysfunction" and "apoptosis". The top three authors are Kang Yuming, Ren Jun and Okoshi Katashi. "Impact", "induced myocardial infarction", "cardiovascular outcome", "empagliflozin", "sglt2 inhibitor", "protect", and "Na+/H+ exchanger" have become popular research topics. Conclusions: Our research shows the research focus and development trends of oxidative stress related to HF in the past decade. Understanding the most important indicators of oxidative stress related to HF and the hot spots in the field of oxidative stress research related to HF can assist scholars, countries and policy-makers in the field in better understanding oxidative stress related to HF and can also lead to better decisions in oxidative stress treatment.

ABSTRACT

Background: The pandemic of COVID-19 has had a profound influence on worldwide healthcare systems. Our study aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis to explore the impact of COVID-19 on stroke and to highlight the major research trends in this field. Methods: We searched the original articles and review articles regarding COVID-19 and stroke from the Web of Science collection (WOSCC) database between January 1, 2020 and December 30, 2022. Subsequently, we performed bibliometric analyses and visualization using VOSviewer, Citespace, and Scimago Graphica. Results: A total of 608 original articles or review articles were included. JOURNAL OF STROKE and CEREBROVASCULAR DISEASES published the most studies on this subject (n = 76), while STROKE was the source of the most-cited references (n = 2,393). The United States is the most influential country in this field, with the highest number of publications (n = 223) and citations (n = 5,042). Shadi Yaghi from New York University is the most prolific author in the field, while Harvard Medical School is the most prolific institution. In addition, through keyword analysis and reference co-citation analysis, three major research topics were identified: (i) the impact of COVID-19 on stroke outcomes (including risk factors, clinical characteristics, mortality, stress, depression, comorbidities, etc.); (ii) the management and care of stroke patients during the COVID-19 pandemic (including thrombolysis, thrombectomy, telemedicine, anticoagulation, vaccination, etc.); and (iii) the potential relationship and pathological mechanism between COVID-19 and stroke (including renin-angiotensin system activation, SARS-CoV-2 virus-induced inflammation leading to endothelial impairment, coagulopathy, etc.). Conclusion: Our bibliometric analysis provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of research on COVID-19 and stroke and highlights key areas of focus in the field. Optimizing the treatment of COVID-19-infected stroke patients and elucidating the underlying pathogenic mechanisms of COVID-19 and stroke co-morbidity are key areas of future research that will be beneficial in improving the prognosis of stroke patients during the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic.

ABSTRACT

This paper makes a systematic visual analysis of cruise research literature collected in science network database from 1996 to 2019. The results show that: the overall number of published literature on cruise research is growing;North American states, Europe, and Asia are the main regions of cruise research. The evolutionary of theme development of cruise research has three stages, and the current hot topics of cruise research can be summarized as cruise tourism, luxury cruises, cruise passengers, destination ports, environmental and biological conservation, and cruise diseases. Future research in the cruise field are in the areas of cruise supply chain, technology in cruise, children's cruise experience, itinerary design, planning and optimization, brand reputation and luxury cruises, public transportation in destinations, environmental responsibility of passengers and corporate social responsibility, optimization of energy systems, climate change in relation to the cruise industry, the Chinese cruise market and risk management of cruise diseases.

ABSTRACT

[] Objective: To analyze relevant literature on Lianhua Qingwen preparations and clarify the research advances and hot spots in this field,so as to provide references for clinical rational application and further research. Method: Literature related to Lianhua Qingwen preparations in the recent 10 years was retrieved from six databases,including China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),VIP,Wanfang Data, PubMed,and Web of Science,followed by management and analysis by NoteExpress and CiteSpace. Result: Finally,344 and 76 Chinese and English research articles were included,and the number of publications increased in recent years. The research articles were published in 162 Chinese and 48 English journals. Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd. and Guangzhou Medical University were institutions with the largest number of Chinese and English publications,respectively. LIU Minyan was the author who had published the most articles. Keywords with high frequency included clinical efficacy,Lianhua Qingwen,inflammatory factors,traditional Chinese medicine,and coronavirus disease-2019(COVID-19). Nineteen clusters,including clinical efficacy,Chinese medicine,Lianhua Qingwen,COVID-19,and influenza A virus,and 47 emergent keywords,including herpes zoster,pneumonia,inflammatory factors,influenza,and gut microbiota,were generated. Conclusion:Cooperation and exchanges in this field are insufficient. Research focuses on the clinical efficacy of Lianhua Qingwen in the treatment of COVID-19 and other diseases,pharmacological action and mechanism of antiviral drugs,and micro-mechanism research focuses on related pathways and target proteins,as well as the combination of Chinese and western medicines.Copyright © 2023, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences Institute of Chinese Materia Medica. ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to help better understand the problem of energy poverty;to grasp the research context, evolution trends and research hotspots of energy poverty;and to find clues from research on energy poverty. In this paper, we use the scientific quantitative knowledge graph method and CiteSpace software to analyze 814 studies in the WOS (Web of Science) and CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) databases, such as a literature characteristic analysis, a core author and research institution network analysis, a research hotspot analysis, research trends and a frontier analysis. The results show that the specific connotations of energy poverty are different between developed countries and developing countries. In developed countries, energy poverty is mainly manifested in the affordability of energy consumption, while in developing countries, energy poverty is manifested in the availability of energy. The causes, impacts and solutions of energy poverty are the focus of CNKI and WOS literature, and their perspectives of the impacts and solutions are relatively consistent. However, in terms of the causes, scholars of WOS discuss the energy supply side and the demand side, while scholars of CNKI mainly analyze the energy demand side. The quantitative evaluation system of energy poverty has not been unified, which restricts the depth and breadth of energy poverty research. Topics such as the expanding scope of research objects;the interaction among energy poverty, the "two-carbon” target and other macro factors;the complex and severe energy poverty situation following the COVID-19 pandemic and the outbreak of the war in Ukraine;and the ways to solve the energy poverty problem in the context of China may become the focus of research in the future. This study provides an overview for researchers who are not familiar with the field of energy poverty, and provides reference and inspiration for future research of scholars in the field of energy poverty research. © 2023 by the authors.
